Josie and Sandra are both fine and are still being busy.
As for Sue Woodcock she has been fighting the Yorkshire Dales national Park for planning permission to modernise her small croft farm. shes been living in mire house above the small town of Grassington for 3 years now, with virtualy no utiltys (no heating other than an open fire, no water other than from the well outside, no eletricty other than a generator, and also she doesnt have a proper toilet. the problem she has been having is the national park are refusing to grant her permission as her house has not been lived in since the 1960's and they class the house as a barn even though it has windows, doors, fireplaces and she pays council tax on it. one of there arguements for refusing her planning is it would be determental to the landscape, aparrently the possiblity of a washing line and garden funiture is more an eyesore than a derlict building. how they can say that restoring mire house will be bad for the area is very strange when they have recently approved blocks of flats that are very out of caracter in embsay near skipton. These National Parks of great britian were ment to preserve the way of life and the caracter of areas of outstanding natural beauty in this country. in my opinion this is not what is happening which makes me belive that they are now very courupt and with new parks just being opened i worry about how they will affect the ways of life in the countryside.
anyway back to Sues case the National Park has recently issued her with an eviction notice. though she doest plan on going out without a fight. she is currently writing a diary for the Yorkshire Post newspaper. only hours after she sent in her first artical she suffered a heart scare brought on by the stress of all of this. she is fine after this and has made a good recovery but has to take things easy.
[link] check out the artical on her in the yorkshire post.
anyway thats all for now
